Sand Volleyball
Eight teams competed during the months of August and September for the Sand Volleyball title. The PWNERS pwned everyone to get through the season without losing a single game during any matches. While the PWNERS may have been the best team, the wrestlers from Wasted Talent proved to have the most spirit (see below left). Below on the right, the PWNERS (right) battle Subzero while teammates from each team and other competitors look on.
Flag Football
The Flag Football regular season and playoffs that occurred throughout September and October brought intense action in both the men's and women's league. Da 3rd women dominated their opponents throughout the entirety of the season, never coming close to losing a game while taking home the flag football championship. In the men's league, the experience of the faculty and staff team proved to be too much for the rest of the league. Fragile, Immobile, Hostile made it through the entire season without suffering a loss, but not without a couple close calls. During the final game of the regular season they squeaked by Prestige WorldWide in a shootout thanks to a batted pass in the endzone to stop a two point conversion, winning 80-78. In the championship against the PWNERS, FIH won on a last second catch and run on a crossing pattern to take the lead for good after numerous lead changes. What an exciting season!
Ultimate Frisbee
Subzero reigned supreme during the Ultimate Frisbee season in November. Their experience, finesse, and skill with the frisbee proved to be overwhelming for all opponents, but their sportsmanship and willingness to teach and help others enriched the experience for all involved. Congratulations on a great season!
